As we sit awaiting the puck to drop commencing the start of the third round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Conference Finals, some sad stuff has been broken by news media. While normally the PUCK YOU! series is one of conversation, and not an editorial, I felt I would break away from tradition to briefly discuss some of these topics.

Pacioretty vs Marek vs Wyshynski

After a mere three weeks in the Swiss League playing for Ambri Piotta, Max Pacioretty is headed home with a flu and an inflamed elbow. With the lockout still pending a decision, it’s hard to keep sane as a hockey fan in North America. Thank goodness for Jeff Marek and Greg “Puck Daddy” Wyshynski keeping their Marek VS Wyshynski podcast going and entertaining it’s fans with satire and hockey news. You can check that show out here. In honor of the entertainment it’s given me, it inspired me to make a meme based on a reoccurring gag on that show.

Hello hockey fans! PUCK YOU! has returned for another installment, and this time we address the deals made on trade deadline day. This is the last stretch of the regular season and these moves could possibly make or break a team’s aim at making the post season. This year, the race is incredibly close (especially in the Western Conference). Let’s see what the crew’s thoughts are, shall we?

Hello hockey fans! We started this project last season on a different website. We have a new home here at Wonderpod-Online, and couldn’t be happier to getting back to discussing a game we all mutually love… hockey. The one played on ice, that is. The NHL season is just over the halfway mark, the World Juniors is over, and we’re on the doorstep of the free-agency deadline. It’s about time we got the crew back together for another bull-session. So, let’s get to it, shall we?

The All “MAN” Team: “What If?… Hockey.”

Just as the 2011-2012 NHL season had wrapped, Armchair MVP, G (and with some help from ThatDamnDoubleC) discussed the idea of assembling fantasy hockey teams. Now, these would not be “best players of all time,” types of fantasy booking. No, these would be based on a gimmick or combination of themes with a sense of comedy possibly mixed in for good fun.

It was well aware to us of the looming lock out of the 2012-2013 NHL season at the time this article was created during the summer. And since it came to fruition, the idea is a little more bizarre than originally intended.

Welcome to Project Wonderboy/Wonderpod Online’s 2010 -2011 NHL season discussion. We got this out a little later than initially planned as the regular season is just underway. However, it is still extremely early into the schedule… anything can happen. This is every team’s chance to succeed or miserably fail. As per usual, this is a panel for the fans (not the stat crunchers, journalists, or over analytical editorialists). It’s for the fans, by the fans. We’re biased around these parts. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Note: This is a repost that originally appeared at Project Wonderboy in October 2010. We will be releasing brand new episodes of PUCK YOU! throughout the season here at Wonderpodonline.com. As a result, it makes sense to reintroduce the first installment of the 2010-2011 NHL season for your perusal.

PUCK YOU!

Arkham Arena?

This Saturday night, the fate of the 2012 – 2013 NHL season will be determined… at least the start of it. Call me a Joker for not posting this on Cat(woman)urday, but let’s Two-Face it… even though it’s Friday, we all know the Bane of this weekend will be whether the Riddle(r)’s solution will become apparent during the 11th hour. Have a good weekend! Let’s hope my bad punditry is outweighed by the animated gif below.

(Special thanks to resident BHF contributor, Stove Coleman, for inspiring this. When reached for comment, Coleman noted, “Funny how he rigged the draft for the Penguin. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. […] Both the NHL/PA Robin’ us of a season! I’ve got more, but they’re getting worse.”).
